Richard is a non-profit executive leader with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. He joined the Kinsmen Foundation, “Saskatchewan’s Charity”, as Executive Director on June 14, 2018. Prior to this role, he was Director of Communications and Outreach for the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation for two years. From 2001-2016, Richard worked for the Canadian Red Cross in fundraising and communications, with a career spanning the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York to the Fort McMurray wildfires (and numerous other disaster responses in between). Born and raised in Regina, his Red Cross career brought him to Saskatoon in 2011.
Richard has a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and a Certificate in Public Relations, both from the University of Regina. He is an active member of the U of R Senate, Hill Business School’s Leaders Council and the U of R Alumni Association. In addition to SSFRE, Richard holds volunteer positions on Canada West Region Board of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Saskatchewan German Council.
DCG Philanthropic Services
Passionate fundraiser, life-long learner, educator, administrator, graphic designer, loving mom, chocolate-addict and community volunteer.
Angela holds an Education Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Masters Certificate in Graphic Design from Sessions College for Professional Design, and accreditation as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive through CFRE International.
To SSFRE Angela brings enthusiasm and a wealth of experience in volunteer management and non-profit fund development. An associate at DCG Philanthropic Services, she has facilitated educational sessions and workshops across Saskatchewan on capital campaigns, fund development and sponsorship.
Angela and her spouse Frank live in Saskatoon with daughters Michaila and Julia, dog Bonbon and three cats – Purrrcy, Ali and Bella. Never one to turn down an adventure or a good cabernet, Angela enjoys glamping, hiking, geocaching and spending time at the family cottage on Wakaw Lake.
Chief Development Officer
Royal University Hospital Foundation
Lisa Sands began her career in the non-profit sector in 2002 after working for over 18 years in the financial services industry. In her current role as Chief Development Officer at the RUH Foundation, Lisa works closely with partners in the community to raise funds for healthcare priorities at Royal University Hospital. Lisa has been a member of the Saskatoon Society of Fund Raising Executives (SSFRE) since 2005 and has served on the Board as Treasurer, Vice-President, President and currently as Past President.
Meewasin Valley Authority
Joanne started her career in London, England working as manager of Legal Accounting in a busy Law firm. After relocating to Saskatchewan in 2011, Joanne’s main focus was on settling her three children into the Canadian way of life before starting her own business.
Joanne is new to the ‘non profit’ sector and is excited to learn and grow in this field after taking a position with Meewasin Valley Authority in 2019.
Constituency Engagement Officer
Megan is starting a new role as the Constituency Engagement Officer at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. After convocating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the Edwards School of Business, Megan worked extensively with clients developing websites, social media strategies, and was focused on sales. Feeling like something was missing, she continued to search for a career that could have a positive impact on the community. After seeing an online job posting, Megan took a leap of faith and started her fundraising career as the Fundraising & Donor Relations Coordinator with the Saskatoon SPCA. Thanks to the support of the local fundraising community and a few exceptional mentors, Megan is truly grateful to have stumbled into the fundraising field and is excited to continue to work with the Saskatoon community.
DCG Philanthropic Services
After obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce in Management (Hons), Morgan immediately and eagerly entered the field of fundraising as an Associate with DCG Philanthropic Services, where she remains today. Her focus is leading and guiding organizations through their fund development priorities and implementation of strategic plans. Offering her time, voice and intellect to strengthen the community has always been a priority of Morgan’s. Throughout university, she stayed actively involved in multiple student groups, consecutively, serving in roles such as President, Coordinator, Marketing Lead, and most recently, Alumni Advisor. She is excited to be shifting her involvement over to professional groups such as the SSFRE and AFP where she can continue to work toward a better community with like-minded individuals.
Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council
Joanne Fedyk has been the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council since 1991. She has been a member of SSFRE since 2004.
